Iñigo de la Serna Hernáiz
Mayor of Santander. President of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces. President of the Spanish Network of Smart Cities and Co-Chair of the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR).
Iñigo de la Serna Hernáiz was born on January 10, 1971. Is engineer of roads, canals and ports, graduated by the University of Cantabria in the specialty of Hydraulics, Oceanography and Environment. He worked in the private sector, as head of the Department of Hydraulic Engineering in the company Apia XXI. He was Director of Cabinet of the Ministry of Environment of the Government of Cantabria. Currently, he is mayor of Santander, President of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), President of the Spanish Network of Smart Cities and co-chair of the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR).
