Gerardo García-Castrillo Riesgo

Director of the Cantabric Maritime Museum.

PhD in Biological Sciences, specialized in zoology and marine ecology coast. He has conducted research projects on the coastal communities of the Cantabrian Sea and besides he has collaborated in others projects about the analysis vulnerability of marine habitats. Consequently he has participated in numerous campaigns and published over fifty scientific papers. In the area of the divulgation he has published and coordinate works related to life in the Cantabrian Sea. His activity in the Cantabrian Maritime Museum has led him to specialize in the field of aquariums, museology and maritime heritage.
