Architect with postgraduate studies in Urban Technology and a Masters in Environmental Management for Sustainable Development. She has expertise in institutional development, urban and regional planning, environmental management and competitiveness. Currently holds the position of Director of Corporate Affairs for the Port of Cartagena. Since 2012, she has strenghten port-government relations and developed port-city projects to improve regional competitiveness. Between 2009 and 2010 she was Colombia’s vice-minister for Mines and Energy. Previously, she was Executive President of the Chamber of Commerce of Cartagena, a position she held for seven years. She also served as head of the District Secretariat for Planning between 2001 and 2003. In this position she strategically developed Cartagena’s land management in a design based on water landscapes for the city. She has been a government advisor to multiple entities, private companies and associations. For more than 10 years she was a consultant of national, international and other multilateral organizations.
