Architect graduated from FAU Bennett in Rio de Janeiro in 1980, MA in Housing Studies at the Architectural Association School of London (AA School) from 1987 to 1988, and Ph.D. in Urban Design at the same school, from 1999 to 2004. Associated Professor, Federal University of Pernambuco, where he coordinates the Architecture and Urban Design Laboratory (LADU) of the Post Graduate Program in Urban Development (MDU). He has developed several studies in architecture and urbanism, with emphasis on planning and design of urban space. Is the author of “Porto Forever: strategies for urban design” (2008), coauthored with Ney Dantas, “The Role of Strategic Planning in Urban Design: the case of Rio de Janeiro” (2009), and “Technical Unity for Urban Renewal: projects 2007/2010” (2012). He is currently Executive Secretary of Urban Intervention of the State of Pernambuco and coordinator of the Technical Unity for Urban Renewal (NTOU).
