Professor at the Portuguese Catholic University. PhD in Urban and Regional Planning from the Technical University of Lisbon; MS in Environmental Management Policies from the University of Aveiro; BA in Tourism from the School of Management, Hospitality and Tourism at the University of Algarve, Portugal, during which he also attended one semester at the University of Wales Institute – Cardiff. He was visiting Researcher and Professor at the George Washington University and member of the High Level Consultation Group at the UN Foundation for the project of global sustainable tourism criteria. Invited speaker of several international conferences in Europe (Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Austria), Brazil, USA and Mexico. He is an expert at the World Centre of Excellence for Destinations.
