Luis Aragonés Pomares holds a PhD in Civil Engineering. He has worked for 23 years in companies such as Acciona Infraestructuras SA, participating in many other projects for the construction of the new Escombreras Port and Maritime Emissary of San Pedro del Pinatar, as well as in Infraestructuras Terrestres SA, as Director of Construction. At the University of Alicante he has opened the line of research on the coastal coast. He has been a professor at the AU since 2005. He has participated in several public research projects and collaborates with private companies in professional work related to engineering. More than forty articles describe his research work, focusing on various lines of research on the study of beach erosion and regeneration, beach modelling and management.
