Malaga will be hoste the international event “Seatrade Cruise Med” and will be the center of the cruise tourism world map, bringing together on September 14-15th the main lines, agent and professionals in the sector at the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga (FYCMA).
The event wicht the slogan ‘Steering change together’, will analyze the needs of the cruise community and opportunities of the sector in the Mediterranean, after a long period of change and readjustment; will show the latest developments in the innovation, digitalization and sustainability, faciliting the contacts between professionals from differents countries.
Parallel to this event, between September 13th and 17th, in the Port and City area will be developed an agenda of activities “Málaga Cruise Days”, aimed at citizens and visitors, to make the cruise industry known. In a unique space close to the sea, the Palm Grove and Muelle Uno areas will simulate the deck of a cruise ship, with concerts, conference cycles, exhibition spaces, and other activities typical of life on board.
To organize this event has been fundamental the collaboration between the institutions that work together in the promotion of this sector that is strategic in the tourism plans of city and port.
The activities, the professional meeting and the citizen event are coordinated by the Port Authority, the Tourism Area of the Malaga City Council, Costa del Sol Tourism and Planning and the Andalusian Government as sponsors of the fair, as well as Malaga Cruise Port, Global Ports Holding, Suncruise Andalucía and Ports of Spain as supporters.
This meeting will be a unique opportunity to consolidate Malaga and the region of Andalusia on the cruise tourism international map, reinforcing the role of Spain as a top-level destination.
