Architect (1988). Master's Degree in Architecture in Restoration of Sites and Monuments, UNAM (1994). PhD in Architecture, UNAM (2005). He is a Type A academic, full-time at the Faculty of Architecture of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. She has been a visiting professor at the University of Texas, San Antonio and Kobe, Japan. As a researcher, she achieved consolidation and international projection on three of the central themes of her research: Military Architecture, Conservation of the Built Heritage and Historical Centers and Mayan Architecture. She belongs to the National System of Researchers of CONACYT. He is a member of the National Academy of Architecture and CAM SAM. She was president of El Colegio de Restauradores de México and curator of the National Palace. About military architecture, she has been recognized as an international expert and has been invited to give lectures at international seminars on Spanish and Hispanic Caribbean fortifications.
