Marta Pontes has a degree in Psychology from the University of Porto, with executive training in the area of management of SMEs and Sustainable Management from Porto Business School. She held clinical positions in the area of drug addiction in the former CAT and for approximately 5 years in the Association for Integrated Development of Matosinhos, where she also accumulated functions in the area of training, coordination and project management. She was a teacher of Psychology in the Clinical Secretarial Course at CESPU. For 7 years she was connected to the area of Promotion of Local Economy and Tourism in the Matosinhos City Hall, being in the origin of the creation of support projects and promotion of entrepreneurship, attracting investment and promotion of markets and local trade. In the last 4 years she has performed coordination functions as head of the President's office. Since October 2021 she assumed functions as councilor for the area of economic activities, tourism, internationalization and civil protection.
