Lawyer. Consultant in International Trade, Marelly Huatuco is specialized in Port Management and Intermodal Transport (Master of the Valenciaport Foundation and the Polytechnic University of Valencia), lecturer and researcher on sector issues. Certified Customs Representative, with more than 10 years of experience in the sector, being part of public entities/bodies such as the Superintendency of Customs and Tax Administration (SUNAT), working in the National Legal Administration and in the Air and Postal Customs Administration; and, in the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR), as a member of the General Directorate of Foreign Trade Development Policies, the Directorate of Special Economic Zones and the Directorate of Trade Facilitation. Marelly Huatuco has been part of the team that developed the winning project of the Direct Aid Program of the Australian embassy – DAP with the Project: “Capacity development for SMEs with export potential of the Gamarra conglomerate”, of the Technical Committee of the “Program of Support for Internationalization (PAI)” and the team reviewing the proposals for the “Somos Artesanía” and “Turismo Emprende” Program. Marelly Huatuco also worked at logistics operators such as Inversiones Marítimas Universales Perú S.A (IMUPESA), Depósitos Aduaneros S.A. (DEPSA) and Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), and has provided consulting services to HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation to support the implementation of the initiative "Generation of instruments for multi-sector and multi-level articulation aimed at the competitiveness and internationalization of MSMEs", financed with resources from the Swiss Cooperation - SECO. She has participated in the formulation and review of regulatory projects, process optimization and implementation of technological innovation projects, coordination, monitoring and collaboration in interdisciplinary groups, multi-sectoral commissions and technical committees related to foreign trade, international logistics and management. She is currently developing research on the Special Economic Zones of Peru and Quality Management in Port Operations in the Port of Callao.
