Luigi De Magistris

Mayor of Naples. Municipality of Naples, Italy.

Born in 1967, he graduated from the Faculty of Law of Naples, Federico II University. In 1993, he exceeded the competition in the judiciary. Deputy Public Prosecutor at the Law Court of Catanzaro (1996-1998). In 1999 he returned to Naples, where he performed the same functions of Deputy Public Prosecutor until 2002. From 2003 to 2008 he returned to do the Deputy Public Prosecutor in Calabria, specifically in Catanzaro. In 2009 he was elected Member of the European Parliament. In Europe, he served as President of the Commission on Budgetary Control, and has always tried not to lose contact with his city. Since 2011 is the mayor of Naples.
