Degree in Information Sciences (Journalism branch) from the Complutense University of Madrid. He is currently a member of the Editorial Board of the Joly Group and Opinion columnist. He publishes the daily sections ‘El Palillero’ in Diario de Cádiz and‘Las dos orillas’in Diario de Sevilla among other collaborations. He is also a contributor to Canal Sur Televisión and Canal Sur Radio in political meetings. Previously he participated in various Onda Cádiz TV programs and collaborated on Giralda TV in Seville. Professor of Literature at the Universitas Senioribus, CEU Fundación San Pablo Andalucía of Seville, and of the cycle La cultura está en la calle. He has been Director of Diario de Cádiz in two stages (1998-2002 and 2004-2008) and Director of the Joly Group (between 2002 and 2004). He was previously Deputy Director of ABC of Seville (from 1991 to 1998), newspaper in which he worked 20 years (from 1978 to 1998). In 2010 he was awarded the XXV Andalusian Journalism Prize, granted in recognition of his professional career and for a series of interviews published in the Joly Group newspapers in Andalusia. He was also awarded the First City of Cádiz Journalism Award, among other distinctions. He has published several books, including a biography and a novel. He has participated as a speaker and lecturer in professional forums and congresses of journalism in various Spanish cities, and has collaborated in seminars with the University of Seville, the University of Cádiz and the UNIA (International University of Andalusia).
