Per Gisle Rekdal started his employment in Port of Oslo in 1981 as a consultant in the Administration Department. He was responsible for the port’s Property Management and was also Secretary for the Harbour Board. In 1986 he got a new position as Controller and Planning leader. Among the new tasks was to write a new port plan for Oslo, which was submitted to the Harbour Board and approved by the City Council in 1988. Since 1991 his work has been concentrated on port planning as a project leader for the planning processes leading up to Oslo port plan in 1998 and the revised port plan in 2003. He is now working as Senior Advisor in Planning and Construction Department contributing to a new port plan to be submitted in spring this year.
