The 8th edition of the Smart Digital Ports (SDP) of the Future Conference 2024 will take place on September 24-25 in Rotterdam to drive innovation and efficiency in the maritime industry.
At international level, the maritime industry is in fact experiencing a transformative process, driven by the adoption of digital innovations, ambitious carbon reduction initiatives, and an increased focus on sustainability and security.
The conference therefore – with the objective to revolutionize the industry through collaboration, strategic innovation and advancements in act – will highlight the recent smart technologies characterizing ing the port industry, with a focus on digital solutions, collaboration, and business strategy.
The agenda will incorporate keynote presentations and panel discussions focusing on the opportunities and challenges in the port industry that come with smart tech (standardisation & data sharing, 5G & wireless solutions, digital twin, AI, IoT, and autonomous solutions) and there on the problems that prevent the industry from achieving the full digitalisation.
The mission is to drive continuous improvement in the industry by sharing knowledge and providing a platform for top port representatives to discuss strategies, tackle challenges, and seize new opportunities, with numerous networking opportunities to build business partnerships and enable an increase in efficiency and sustainability.
