The Latin American Congress of Ports is an annual event convened by the Latin American Delegation of the American Association of Port Authorities (AAPA), that founded in 1912 and headquartered in Alexandria (Virginia, USA), is the premier organization representing over 130 deep water public ports of the United States, Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean.

The traditional meeting that takes place every year in different cities throughout Latin America makes its debut in Miami, United States, to gather more than 400 port leaders and international experts, positioning itself as a must among the industry’s business events.

Three days of technical sessions will serve to present and discuss major international port projects. In addition to this, there will be intense social and networking activities, a technical port visit and a prominent space destined to commercial displays, in which the most representative industry suppliers participate.

The 2019 edition is convened by the AAPA in strategic partnership with the Administración Nacional de Puertos of Uruguay (ANP), the Sociedad Portuaria Regional de Cartagena (SPRC), the Ente Administrador Puerto Rosario (ENAPRO) and PortMiami, and will gather the main river and maritime terminals in America, as well as many industry suppliers and trade media.

The speakers will analyze the macro issues that influence international trade and logistics, present case studies of specific port projects, and discuss news in the shipping business. In addition to these activities, the event includes an exhibit hall trade show which has been growing in recent years.
