Tülin Selvi Ünlü received her Bachelor degree in City and Regional Planning from Gazi University (1995) and MSc. form History from Mersin University (2007). Earned her PhD degree in City and Regional Planning from Dokuz Eylül University (2016) with the thesis entitled “Transformation of Mediterranean Port Cities From Nineteenth to Twentieth Centuries: Volos, Patras and Mersin”. Participated at various studies and exhibition projects in the context of city history studies and presently continues her studies about urban development of Mediterranean port cities. Currently works as a researcher at the Center for Mediterranean Urban Studies at Mersin University since 2001. Research interests include Mediterranean port cities, urban history and oral history.
