Rafael CARMONA RUIZ

Born in Cordoba, he came to live in Seville in 1972. A graduate in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Seville, he currently holds the position of President of the Port Authority of Seville. He is a Public Auditor of the Audit Chamber of Andalusia and Professor of Strategic Management and Business Creation at the Department of Business Administration and Marketing in the Faculty of Economics and Business (FCEYE) of the University of Seville. He has also been a member of the Executive Committee of the Andalusian PP and coordinator of the Economy and Finance area. He has also served as general coordinator and president of the Seville Olympic Stadium Company and, between 1999 and 2003, he was deputy mayor – Urban Planning delegate of the Seville City Council and president of the Municipal Housing, Land and Equipment Company of Seville (EMVISESA). He has also served on the boards of directors of public companies such as the Seville Metro Company, Emasesa, Sevilla Global, the Seville Economic Interest Group (AIE) and the Seville Port Authority. In September 2010 he was appointed member of the Board of Directors of RTVA and, since March 2012, he has been an Andalusian parliamentarian in the IX Legislature, being the spokesman for the Economy of the Popular Parliamentary Group.
