Paulo Pinho is Professor of Spatial Planning at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Oporto, founder and Director of CITTA, the Research Centre for Territory, Transports and Environment. Graduated in Civil Engineering in Oporto, got a postgraduate diploma in Urban and Regional Planning and a PhD in Environmental Planning from Strathclyde University, Glasgow. He is the author and co-author of 12 books on environmental planning subjects and published several papers in international peer review journals. His recent research focuses on urban metabolism, low carbon cities and metropolitan dynamics.
