Massimo Clemente since 2024 is Director of the Construction technologies institute (ITC) at the National Research Council (CNR) in Italy. Former Research Director in Urban Planning and Design in the National Research Council of Italy, he has worked in the CNR (1989) as coordinator of research projects an post graduate teaching. Research-action activities regard urban coastal areas and port waterfronts. He has taught in the Universities of Naples, Rome, Genoa and Palermo. He won the Della Rocca Foundation Award (1997, 2019) and the Competition Master Plan Nichelino 2010 (Turin, Italy) as team leader. Referee for the European Research Council, member of scientific societies, activist and former president of Friends of Molo San Vincenzo. He is author of over one hundred scientific publications, director of book series, member of scientific boards, referee for several scientific journals.
