Luisa Mendes is researcher at CITTA, the Research Centre for Territory, Transports and Environment at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Oporto. Graduated in Sociology in Coimbra University, got a postgraduate diploma in environmental management and a master degree in planning and design of the urban environment. She is currently in the final stages of the PhD with a thesis on social impact assessment of plans and projects. Her recent research interests focuses on low carbon societies correlated with social impact assessment.
