José María GÓMEZ FUSTER

Civil, Canal and Port Engineer from the University of Granada and MSc Civil Engineering from the University of California, José María GÓMEZ has 14 years of experience in the port sector. He has a doctorate in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Cartagena. Master of Business and Administration from the University of Cartagena and Master in Port Management from the University of Madrid. In 2010 he started at the Port Authority of Cartagena as Head of Planning. In 2016, he was promoted to Head of Operations until 2021 where he assumed management of the Port of Castellon. In June 2023, he is appointed director of the Port of Cartagena. He has also taught at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena in the subject of port engineering and port management.
