Chief of Director Infrastructure and Sustainability Department in the Port Authority of Málaga, Ministry of Transport. Director of the Port Authority of Málaga since 2013 to March 2024, he has previously worked in the Port of Gijón and in the University of Granada, gathering a total of 21 years professional experience in the Spanish Ports system. Civil Engineer by the University of Granada, he holds a Master on Engineering and Port Management by the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña, as well as an Advanced Studies Diploma (Doctorate Program) in Civil Engineering Reliability and Risk by the University of Granada. Member of the Technical Committee for the drafting of Recommendations on Maritime and Port Development Projects between 2001 and 2019. Member of the Port Governance and Management in ESPO. Lecturer at the Master on Maritime Engineering and Port Management at the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña, as well as at the Official Inter-University Master on Environmental Hydraulics at the University of Granada. Author of numerous publications in international conferences and scientific journals.
