João Pedro NEVES

With a degree in Civil Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto, João Pedro Neves began his professional career in 1997 at the company Irmãos Cavaco, where he was project manager. In 1999, after a short stint at the Municipal Water and Sanitation Services of Matosinhos, he began working at APDL-Administration of Portos do Douro e Leixões, S.A. where he remained until May 2013, having held the position of Head of Works Division for 10 years. Between 2013 and 2017 he worked at MPDC – Sociedade de Desenvolvimento do Porto de Maputo, in Mozambique, where he was Director of Engineering and member of the company's Executive Board. Between February 2017 and May 2020 he was Executive Director of Águas do Douro e Paiva, S.A. and Simdouro, S.A. He was responsible for the areas of Exploration and Information Systems of the company Águas do Douro e Paiva, and responsible for the areas of Exploration, Engineering and Asset Management, Accounting and Finance, Planning and Management Control and Information Systems of company Simdouro. From May 2020 to August 2022, he was Executive Director of Águas de Portugal, SGPS, where he was responsible for monitoring the Effectiveness and Operability of Water Supply and Sanitation Concessions and under Partnership Regime, for Planning and Control of Investments and for Development of the Corporate Strategy for the Areas of Engineering and Information Technologies. He was Executive Chairman of Águas do Alto Minho, S.A. between April 2021 and February 2023, where he was responsible for the areas of Exploration, Clients, Planning and Management Control, Legal-Legal, Communication and Information Systems. Since March 2023 he has been Executive President of APDL-Administration of the Ports of Douro and Leixões and Viana do Castelo, S.A..
