Jim is the Projects Manager in Port Heritage and Communications at Dublin Port Company. In this role, he has delivered tangible soft values projects in Port-City integration, including Opening up Port Centre (2017), the Seafarers Centre (2016) and Reconfiguring the Diving Bell (2015), hailed by the Irish Times as “Dublin’s newest museum. . packing more fascination per square metre than most of the others" and awarded Best Museum by the Industrial Heritage Association of Ireland in 2017. Jim joined Dublin Port in 2005 and was Estate Inspector and project manager before taking up his current position. Previously, Jim worked in the fields of architectural design, building surveying, construction and facilities management, in Ireland and the UK. He is passionate about high quality architectural design, aesthetics in the port built environment and the history and heritage of Dublin, his home city. Jim is a graduate of De Montfort University Leicester, Dublin Institute of Technology and the National College of Ireland and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Building and the Institute of Project Management.
