The UEF5+WPC59 Congress “For Climate Action, Urban Finance – Climate-responsive Planning for Equitable Places & Communities” is jointly organised by the Urban Economy Forum (https://www.ueforum.org/) and ISOCARP (https://isocarp.org/) and will take place this 10-13 October in Toronto, Canada.
The Urban Economy Forum, an international organisation that advocates for the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals, in particular SDG11 “Sustainable Cities and Communities” and ISOCARP, the International Society of City and Regional Planners with almost six decades of contributing to knowledge for better cities, are co-organising this event to provoke a dialogue between professional planners, policymakers, city leaders, Governments, academia, financial institutions, entrepreneurs, and the civil society.
The UEF5+WPC59 Congress is a unique opportunity for urban and regional planning professionals to engage with cross-cutting sessions, plenaries, workshops, and networking events to explore and discuss opportunities to support Climate-responsive Planning for Equitable Places & Communities. The four-day Programme will explore the four tracks of the Congress: Acknowledge Community Values, Decide Jointly, Invest Wisely, and Interact with Technology. The programme also includes tours, site visits, and exhibitions in the dynamic metropolis of Toronto.
Daniels Spectrum (https://danielsspectrum.ca/), a community cultural hub, and World Urban Pavilion (https://www.worldurbanpavilion.org/), a knowledge exchange hub, in acclaimed Toronto’s Regent Park will be the stages to receive the participants.
