Archeologist Dr. in History, currently Director of the School of Archeology, Austral University of Chile (UAdC), Valdivia, Chile. Specialized in Andean ethnohistory of the Inca provinces and encomiendas of the Viceroyalty of Peru. He has developed archaeological investigations of early cities such as Valdivia, Osorno and Rey Felipe (Puerto del Hambre). He has published on pre-Hispanic and colonial architecture and the study of settlement patterns in multi-temporal sequences. It is part of museum networks and heritage education in southern Chile and the Chilean Society of Archeology.
