Jacqueline PAREDES CORRALES
Head of Social Development, Terminal Internacional del Sur (TISUR). Matarani, Peru.
Degree in Industrial Engineering since 2008, Master's in Social Responsibility and Sustainable Leadership awarded by the University of Barcelona and OBS, with a specialization in Logistics and Warehousing (2009). My experience in ports began 15 years ago, and I have built my professional career thanks to my experience in various areas of the port industry. I started this long journey in logistics from 2008 to 2011, then worked as a Commercial Executive (2011-2013), and later gained a deeper understanding of the core business of the organization in the Operations area, initially as Quality and Safety Supervisor, later being promoted to Operations Coordinator. During this time, I also obtained various certifications as an auditor (2014-2020). In 2018, I completed the Modern Port Management course organized by APN and the UNCTAD Train for Trade program, which led to my recognition by this organization. I now contribute my knowledge by teaching Module No. 4 of this course, which focuses on Social Responsibility. My leadership skills in managing diverse and complex teams, along with my organizational abilities, empathy, and commitment to service, enabled me to achieve the position of Head of Social Development at Southern International Terminal, while also being appointed Director of Social Responsibility at Wista Peru, an association of female professionals in the maritime, port, foreign trade, and logistics sectors. These positions are what I currently hold.
