Helmut Thöle is urban and regional planner. His working experience contains design and research projects within architectural and advisory offices as well as strategic planning within public and governmental context. He works as a senior urban planner and strategic advisor at the Province of South Holland. There he is working on spatial policy and strategies for the urban and economic development. He combines this with the implementation of data-based spatial exploration and 'design by research' into the planning instruments of South Holland. Helmut has lectured and tutored at several universities and academies. Special interest is in the impact and quality of spatial interventions and underlying decision-making process and context.
