César DÍAZ MAZA

Civil Engineer, specializing in Hydraulics, Oceanography, and the Environment, from the University of Cantabria. Since 1995, he has worked professionally in various construction, civil engineering, building, and services companies. In 2007, he joined the Santander City Council as Councilor for Infrastructure, Urban Planning, and Housing, assuming the role of First Deputy Mayor in 2012. During the 2019-2023 term, he headed the Department of Development, Housing, and Sustainable Mobility. From June 2023, he served as Councilor for Development, Urban Planning, Sustainable Mobility, and Housing, as well as spokesperson for the Local Governing Board. He was appointed President of the Port Authority of Santander in September 2023, a public body where he had served as a member of the Board of Directors representing the Santander City Council since 2007.
