Architect, PhD in Urban and Territorial Planning, and Associate Professor of Urban Planning at the University of Palermo. Her research focuses on contemporary territorial transformations, the regeneration of peripheral areas and waterfronts, and local development strategies and policies for marginal and inner territories. She has extensive experience in strategic spatial planning, with particular attention to dispersed settlements, peripheralisation processes, and territorial resilience. She has coordinated several national and international research projects, and has published widely on these topics in leading academic journals, edited volumes, and international research networks including Planning Complex Waterfront Interfaces Reshaping Port City Regeneration for Sustainable Urban Futures with Carta, Ronsivalle, La Greca (2025).
