Sandro Scalia uses photography as a critical tool to investigate the transformation of landscapes. Through photographic campaigns, archives, publications, exhibitions, and interdisciplinary projects, he has spent more than forty years building a visual atlas of the relationships between cities, landscapes, and memory. He has collaborated with international editorial offices, foundations, and architecture firms, receiving awards and exhibiting in Italy and abroad, including at the Rencontres d'Arles and the Venice Architecture Biennale. Since 1998, he has taught Photography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo. His works are held in major public and private collections.
