Stage director, producer, and manager. Founder and director of La Machina Teatro and director for 39 years of the Aula de Teatro at the University of Cantabria's and the Muestra Internacional de Teatro Contemporáneo de Santander. He is a member of the A.D.E. (Asociación de Directores de Escena) and an academician of the Academia de las Artes Escénicas. A theatre critic and regular contributor to the press, he is the author of over one hundred articles on the performing arts and two essays published by the University of Málaga. He has directed courses and given lectures at various institutions, including the University of Cantabria, the Spanish College in Paris, the University of Málaga, and the University of Castilla-La Mancha. As a director, he has received several awards: at the 16th and 28th Certamen Nacional de Teatro Arcipreste de Hita, Guadalajara; the 6th Muestra Alternativa Internacional de Teatro (Festival de Otoño Madrid); and the Festival Nacional de Teatro Universitario. And “En alta mar”, a show produced and directed by him, won the Premio Max al Mejor Espectáculo Revelación in 2012. He has done various dramaturgy works and directed about thirty shows, most of them with his company, also taking on production and management roles.
