Marta MANTECÓN PÉREZ

Marta Mantecón is an Art Historian, holding a degree from the Complutense University of Madrid, and a graduate in Tourism from the Official School of Tourism. She has more than 25 years of experience in exhibition curatorship, coordination of cultural projects, teaching, and writing on contemporary art and visual culture. She complements this work with research on topics related to feminist criticism, border arts, and visual studies. She is a Member of the Advisory Committee on Cultural Activities of the Port of Santander. Between 2016 and 2024, she served as Director of the Sala Robayera in Miengo, Cantabria. She has been a member of the teaching staff of the Design degree programs at CESINE University Centre since 2015, and has taught seminars in Contemporary Art History at UNATE since 2008. She has been part of the editorial board of “Atlántica”, published by CAAM, and a member of the editorial team of “M-Arte y Cultura Visual”. She is also the author of texts for exhibition catalogues and specialized publications on contemporary art, and she gives lectures and seminars at various museums and art centers.
