Born in Murgados (La Coruña) in 1971, María Fernández Lemos studied in Ferrol and graduated from the School of Architecture of A Coruña, specializing in Urbanism. Diploma of Advanced Studies in Architectural Pathology, Rehabilitation and Construction. Postgraduate in Inspection, Maintenance and Repair of Buildings. Postgraduate in Installations in Buildings and Urban Facilities. Postgraduate in Energy Management of Building. She has been working for 16 years in the naval city, both in her professional study as well as in technical assistance to the Institute of Infrastructures and Housing of the Ministry of Defense, INVIED. Committed to sustainable architecture and urbanism, she has focused much of her work in the field of rehabilitation. She was president of the delegation of the College of Architects of Galicia in Ferrol for four years. She is currently the Councilor for Urbanism, Mobility, Housing and Rehabilitation at the City Council of Ferrol.
