Professor of Archeology at the University of Huelva. He has directed some twenty research projects in Europe, America and Africa. He is the author of 400 publications on a dozen lines of research. He has made stays in several Universities and National and Foreign Research Centers. He has directed 20 doctoral theses. He was Vice Chancellor for Research and Dean of the Faculty of Humanities. He is a Member of the Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters of Huelva and the Andalusian Academy of History. He has received 5 research awards, as well as the University of Huelva Medal.
