Between 1979 and 2004, he served as a City Councilor at the Tarragona City Council. Following this extensive period in local government, he took on the leadership of the Port Authority of Tarragona as its President from 2004 to 2011. Subsequently, from 2011 to 2022, he continued his commitment to the port’s development as the Head of the Urban Planning Coordination Department.
