Elen Twrdy, PhD in Transport Technology, is a Full Professor at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Maritime Studies and Transport. She is head of Department of Transport Technology, a lecturer and researcher. Her studies are focused on maritime transport, development of ports and terminals, sustainable transport. Subjects (which she teach): Maritime logistics, Ports and terminals, Transport systems. Areas of research interest: Maritime transport, Maritime logistics, Knowledge management. She was a dean of the Faculty of maritime studies and transport in period 2007-2019, Deputy President of the Supervisory board of Port of Koper (2013-2017), she is a member of the Senat of University of Ljubljana (2019 -present) and from 2020 President of Propeller Club of Port of Koper.
