José María Segovia Azcárate is one of the greatest experts on the discovery of America. He has been for more than three decades President of the Real Sociedad Colombina Huelva. A doctor by training and a journalist by profession, he has been director of the Odiel de Huelva newspaper for decades. He has given numerous conferences, proclamations and exaltations in which he is an accomplished specialist. He has written almost fifty books.
