Henry Azurmendi Toledo is currently Associate Professor of Economics at the Faculty of Economics of the Universidad Austral de Chile. He works in the public sector, as Regional Director of ProChile, a public organization in charge of export promotion in the "De Los Ríos" Region. Also, advisor to companies and regional business associations. Forestry Engineer, at Universidad Austral de Chile (2002). In addition, PhD (candidate) Business and Development, University College of Cork, Cork, Ireland, (2009), Master of Science in Sustainable Development _ Erasmus Agris World European Program, Polytechnic University of Madrid, Madrid, Spain and University College of Cork, Cork Ireland, (2008). International Master in Rural-Local Development, Polytechnic University of Madrid, Madrid, Spain (2006) and Master in Economics and Regional Management, Universidad Austral de Chile, Valdivia, Chile (2004). He has been an academic and researcher since 1997 to date, in various areas of the economy, in Chile, Ireland and Spain. His professional career includes: Mayor of the Region "De Los Ríos" in the Government of Chile, (2012 - 2014). Regional Ministerial Secretary of Economy of the "Los Ríos" Region (2010 - 2012). Previously, between 2009 and 2010 he was an International Consultant in the "Spanish Agency for International Cooperation" and also was the coordinator of the design project for the Regional Tourism Policy of the "De Los Ríos" Region.
